Announcements

The 2008 Scholarship Program winners were selected at the April Semi-annual Meeting.  The next opportunity to apply will be in November 2008.  If you would like an application mailed to you, please call the Union office at 1-800-643-1482.  Scholarships are available for members, member's spouse, and member's children and grandchildren.  For more information about the Scholarship Program, see the article under "Member Information".

OSHA Training will now be done only as needed.  If you have not completed the OSHA-10 class, please call 1-800-643-1482. 

Legislation was passed in 2004 requiring that construction workers on state-funded projects complete the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's 10-hour safety course.  BAC Local 1 MA members should have attended training prior to the July 1, 2006 deadline, and must now have an ID card in their possession to work on state-funded jobs.  If you have not completed this training you need to register for this class immediately.
