Foxboro, Lowell, Springfield/Pittsfield, and Worcester Chapters -- All benefits for these chapters are maintained by the MA Bricklayers Trust Funds, 645 Morrissey Blvd., Boston MA.  The Fund Administrator is Greg Sarno.  You can reach the MA Bricklayers Trust Funds at 1-800-436-5855 for all your questions regarding health insurance, local pension, and Annuity funds.

All Chapters, International Pension Fund -- IUBAC Pension Fund benefits for all Chapters are maintained by the International Pension Fund, 620 F St. NW, Washington DC  20004.  The Fund Administrator is David Stupar.  You can reach the International Pension Fund at 1-888-880-8222.  The IUBAC also has a website, www.ipfihf.org.

Member information

Awards are presented twice each year at the Semi-annual meetings. At the
April meeting, awards for January through June are announced; at the October
meeting, awards for July through December are announced.  If you cannot attend the Semi-annual meeting, please call the Local 1 MA/VT office to have your award mailed to you.

Scholarship Program

Member information

BAC Local 1 MA/VT offers a Scholarship Program to its members and their families. The following scholarships are available:

  • High School Seniors -- Two scholarships of $1,000 each and two scholarships of $500 each, available to high school seniors who have been accepted into an accredited college or university. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must take the labor history exam offered by the MA AFL-CIO in all high schools in February of each year. The student must contact his/her guidance counselor to request study materials and to arrange to take the test.

  • College Students -- Two scholarships of $1,000 each, available to college students who plan to continue their education at an accredited college or university.

  • Member and members' spouse -- Two scholarships of $500 each, available to a Local 1 MA/VT member and to the spouse of a BAC Local 1 MA/VT member to continue his/her education at an accredited college or university.

Applications are available during the months of November and December of each year. Final scholarship awards are announced at the April Semi-annual Meeting. Please call 1-800-643-1482 for more information and to have an application mailed to you.
