Conferences, Conventions, and Meetings

The 2008 October Semi-annual meeting will be scheduled soon.

Meeting notice cards have been sent to all members for the July Special Meetings in all Chapters.  The purpose of the meetings is to discuss and vote on the disbursement of the contract raise in September 2008. 

It is very important that members attend their Chapter meeting. At these meetings, discussion takes place on all types of issues that affect our Union and our members. Come to your Chapter meeting to find out what projects are going on now and the contractors who are hiring craftworkers.  Also, members can get information on future projects and opportunities in their area.

Attending Chapter meetings is a good way to meet other members of your Union, and stay current on any changes to Benefit programs at both the Local and International level. Other topics of discussion at meetings include wage increases, collective bargaining issues, organizing, safety classes, and other training opportunities. Most important, your Chapter meeting is the place to ask questions and express concerns about issues that are important to you. Your voice is important to us. Attend your Chapter meetings -- together we can make our Union stronger and more effective at representing our trade.

Meetings are scheduled as follows:

WORCESTER CHAPTER -- First Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Location: Eagles Club, 53-55 Norfolk St., Worcester

SPRINGFIELD CHAPTER -- Second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.  Location: BAC Local 1 MA/VT office, 1124 Berkshire Ave., Springfield

FOXBORO CHAPTER -- Second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.  Location: American Legion Hall, 10 Mechanic St., Foxboro

LOWELL CHAPTER -- Second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.  Locaiton: VFW Post 6556, Route 110, Littleton

There are no chapter meetings in April and October; the Semi-annual meetings are held during those months.
